A certain Edmund Halley once said to Sir Isaac Newton, “I don’t believe in astrology!” Newton’s reply was “I have studied the subject. You have not.”

Beyond just a good story, this clash between Halley, the great astronomer and mathematician, with the father of modern physics, captures in a nutshell the dilemma modern science has always had on approaching astrology – is the verdict on astrology as a science a closed book, or is there more that remains unexplored?

In my own experience, astrology truly is a venture (or adventure) into the Great Unknown. In an ever-changing Universe, where each day, each hour, indeed each second, is a new experience, the predictive accuracy and versatile applicability of this knowledge has left me nothing less than astounded.

As I look back on my own personal experience and the many times my doubts on this subject have been proven wrong, it is only right that due respect be given to this eminent yet underrated science.

It is a great honour for me to have been part of the team which brought this book into your hands. I have had the privilege of learning and exploring the depths of this eternal science from one whom I would call a Master though he has never claimed himself as such – mastery in not just a particular subject matter, but also on the inner sanctums of life or what we commonly refer to as ‘the world within’.

Suresh once expressed his vision of how this book should be written, that his voice should speak and reach out to the reader, creating an intimate experience for each person who picks up this book. It should carry them with him to the furthest reaches of this Universe, exploring the unknown, while never having left the seat of their room. For anyone who has met him, they will concur that reading this book recreates the experience of a tête-à-tête with the author. It is, in essence, the product of love’s great labour.

The writing of this book may have taken 3years, but the experiences, lessons, knowledge contained within these two covers represent a lifetime of learning – or more accurately, half a lifetime, as the journey has yet to end. This book is Suresh – in essence, in voice, in thoughts, in values, in understanding and in its open approach.

Moving forward, Suresh’s current research and findings in astrology are focussed on further exploring this ancient science using modern knowledge and technology. From preliminary results, we have already seen its impact when applied in fields such as medicine and healing. In future, an expanded application of astrology is to come in ‘hard’ sciences such as quantum physics, astronomy and ‘soft’ sciences such as ecology and psychology.

If this book is able to spur others into a similar direction, encouraging synergy across all disciplines of science and application of this knowledge into everyday living, it would be a marked victory for the individual human consciousness and humanity as a whole.
